Bridging English Program, IELTS higher than 6.5
BEP entry requirements for entry into UQ programs that require academic IELTS higher than 6.5, no score less than 6.0 are:
Academic IELTS overall score: Not more than 0.5 band below the specified UQ program requirement.
Academic IELTS sub-band scores: If specified for a UQ degree program, not more than 0.5 band below the sub-band requirement.
If not specified, no more than one band below the UQ degree program overall band requirement.
Exit requirements
For UQ programs requiring Academic IELTS 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in Speaking, Listening, Reading & Writing) or IBTOEFL 87 (minimum 21 in Writing and minimum 19 in Speaking, Listening & Reading), the requirement is for BEP completion with minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all 4 sub-skills.
For UQ programs requiring Academic IELTS other than/higher than 6.5(minimum 6.0 in Speaking, Listening, Reading & Writing) and which accept BEP course completion for entry, the requirements are set out in the English Language Proficiency Admission and Concurrent Support policy.
For Study Abroad students where UQ requires an OB 6.5 and no sub-skill requirements,the requirement is for BEP completion with a minimum overall grade of 4.
